Lori,

Wishing you well. Just came across your site. I'm also 29, just married struggling thru this this cancer thang.

Cancer sucks ass.

You rock, and I will be looking forward to reading many more posts from you in the future.

I hope your chemo is not being to hard on you.

Lori, I am also a cancer patient. There is an article by Tara Parker-Pope in the Wall Street Journal of 9/14/04 about "custom chemo" that might be helpful to you. I haven't checked out the info. in the article but I'm planning to. Love and thinking of you.

Hi Lori,

Just read your blog, and I am sorry to hear about your scan. I just want you to know that even though we don't see or talk often you are never far from my thoughts or prayers. Let me know when you feel up to it so Dani and I can bring the baby by.

Just know you and Cary are loved, and you both hang in there.

I couldn't help weeping through your postings.

My mum is going through a parallel fate. Try and see is what we do with chemio too. It's somewhat reassuring to read that we're not alone in our feelings. The waiting, the fears, the crying, the scans, the results, the tumors that won't f****ing go away. The ups and downs. The pain.

In this moment in time, we can just be. And together we are stronger. Like we say to each other all the time:

"I send you positive vibes!!!"

Hi Lori,
Been missing you @ Flickr, so I thought I'd visit you at your online home
:-)

I was posting an excerpt of this poem today by B. A. St. Andrews, and it struck me that it speaks to all of us, not just the breast cancer patients and ex-patients, who relate to the unicorn/breast cancer theme of the full poem:

"...may ships heavy laden,
carved with busts of mermaids and deities
who tame wild seas, deliver safely their
cargo of women brave and beautiful as you."

Keep fighting!
