Partial Remission Confirmed
I had a CT Scan two weeks ago and the results are in. Many of the smaller "nodules" that were seen in both my liver and lungs have completely dissolved. The largest lesion in my left lung has decreased in size and the largest lesion in the left lobe of my liver has aslo decreased in size.
It was amazing. I saw the images with my own eyes but I still couldn't believe it. I am on my way to remission. Something is working. Whatever it is I've labeled it a miracle because I had reached a point where I did not think I would make it through this summer. Something kicked in right at the last moment, right when I needed it most. Now miracle, please continue to do your miraculous deed. Please? Oh please? Oh please?
Gotta go now. I have another Dr. appointment I must get ready for.

Post a CommentThat is so great! Congratulations and I hope you continue to improve and stay in remission. Maybe it was the healing power of Hawaii :-)
Celebration time indeed! The trip away seems to have done you a world of good.
OMG!!! Yay!!!
Wonderful beyond words!

Hi Lori,
I ordered the books about the Budwig diet and have read them. I'm wondering how you've followed the diet, practically speaking. Are you just using the meals out of the cookbook? Everytime you eat, are you following the diet? Trying to get going on it myself and was wondering. I know you're busy, but if you have time, can you post or e-mail me at crfleck@cox.net?
Thanks,
Raney (31 yo Stage IV NSCLC)
Oh my God Lori - That is amazing - I knew you would do it!! Smile my friend, you are on the way to the end of this - Go girl!!!!

Hi Lori, I am so very happy for you and wish you a full remission!!! I am 3b adenocarcinoma, I just found you and your blogs and I have to tell you, you have been such an inspiration to me. My prayers are with you both. You are awesome!! Michelle

Lori,
I know you will beat the cancer with your Dr.Budwig Diet. The miracle is that you and Cary have had the faith to keep fighting! I check your blog every day patiently waiting for further good news. So many of us , for so many reasons, need you to keep leading the way!
Henry
It is so absolutely wonderful and inspiring to hear about you kicking cancer's butt! I hang onto that hope for myself and for all of our fellow warriors. Perhaps I'll believe in miracles after all :)
Janet
Hi Lori,
Congratulations on the remission. A friend told me about your website after hearing that my father was told that the chemo was not working on the tumor in his liver. He was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in early Feb. I am wondering how long you have been on the diet and for how long you have been taking Avastin. Are you taking any other type of chemo drugs with the Avastin or is it taken alone? My email address is munkeymel@sbcglobal.net. Your story is very inspiring for me as we were just told the other day that the Dr.'s couldn't help my father any more. Thank you for sharing your journey with everyone. I wish you the best of luck in your remission.
Melanie
Dear Lori,
I found your blog in April while searching for any positive stories about stage 4 cancer. I have read through each one of your entries and the resources provided by you and your husband have been so very helpful, thank you! My mom was diagnosed w/ stage 4 uterine cancer in March and your story keeps my mom and my family so hopeful. I was very excited to read the great news that your tumors are shrinking. My mom's current treatment is a hormone called Megace, and her tumors are also shrinking. We share in your joy!
My mom had also heard about the Budwig diet. I am hoping she will start it soon. I look forward to reading about your progress and your positive news. I will keep you in my prayers and send you healing thoughts.
Debra
Hi,
I am very moved by your story! My husband has Stage IV cancer that has spread to his lungs. We found this out a little over a year ago. He has had chemotherapy and radiation which has not cured it. His oncologist isn't doing anything for him right now.
He has been on the Johanna Budwig diet for about two months now. He just had a ct scan done last week and we are waiting for results.
We hope and pray to see some good results and improvements.
We have nine children who need their father - not to mention myself.
Read our story at:http://naturescures-oregongal.blogspot.com
You are a miracle Lori, your strength, courage, positive thinking are admirable. When some one mixes all these things then they will find four words LORI. Congratulation...
You and Cary are made for each other.
awesome, awesome news!!! congrats!!!!!! how exciting!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Lori, I'm writing here for the first time but i've been following your story for a year now, i'm crossing my fingers for you every day and praying for you, I'm soooo very happy about the news =))) nd I'm looking forward to read from you soon. Stay Strong!!
Lots of Love and Strenght form far far away (POLAND) :)

I've just found your blog and I've been reading some post till now. Gosh! What a struggle that you've been dealing with. I know sometimes us, humans, loose our hope and our minds are invaded by not so happy or optimistic thoughts. But you need to keep your optimistic side up. Be happy. Don't loose hope. Somehow, that is working right? You're even getting so much better.
I'm not affected by cancer, but I have some relatives that died due to cancer. It's such an awful disease. But not invincible.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Susana (Portugal)

Hi Lori,
How are you feeling after being on the Budwig diet for 8 months now? Your last 2 postings were fantastic!
I know your "miracle" will continue. Please let us know! So many people need your input and your guidance for so many different reasons!
Henry
Hey Lori!
I have to assume you are out busy and enjoying the summer down there!
I have been checking in for a guess 2 or 3 years now. You are really amazing, brave and honest! I am really happy to hear about the good news of your remission. Continue the good work girl!
Peace to you!
- Beck :o)
Dear Lori,
I just found your blog by chance. I can't believe that I have run across someone with my same diagnosis. 18 months ago, right after my 40th birthday I was diagnosed with cancer of an unknown primary, also stage 4. Mine was discovered because I got a bloodclot in my leg. It had at that point spread to my pelvis & abdominal wall. As of yesterdays doctor visit it is also in my liver & there is lymphnode involvement. I have to tell you, finding your blog was amazing, I was told if my disease continues to progress at this rate I only have 6-24 months. As you know, the usual prognosis is a year from diagnosis, so I am well ahead of the game. I am starting another clinical trial, taking a break from chemo (was trying Taxol, did not work on me), ironically, this little discovery came AFTER I lost my hair (for the 2nd time) ARGHHHHH! Oh well, I have a lot of living left to do, I am just so happy to read that you are fighting on and in remission!
Keep up the good fight!
Peace,
Martie

Hi. A friend told me about your blog and it's great. I hope that you still are continuing to do well.
The reason I'm here is because my dad has stage four lung cancer (adeno). He was only diagnosed about 6 months ago. Out of the three treatments he's tried, none of them have worked. He's exhausted from the side effects and has decided to take a month off. I bought the budwig diet books and a quark making machine.
And I think he's going to start this week. I was just wondering if you had any advice, tips, or comments about how strictly you follow the diet or whatever else. You seem to be more in the loop than I am - has this helped anyone that you know of besides yourself?
I know your probably busy, but any info would be awesome. Thanks....loanne16@aol.com
Lori,
Following are two fantastic sites on Dr. Budwig. # 1 is a great printout of her diet. Click BUDWIG in the search and it gives 13 items of which the first two cover the interesting parts. In # 1. is a clickon for # 2 which is a 16 page interview with Dr. Budwig done in 1998 by Mr.Lother Hirneise, a highly recognized cancer consultant. Budwig explains about her professional life and how her cure works. A reader does not have to know physics and chemistry but after reading it carefully one can see this woman knew what she was talking about!!

May I be bold enough to ask how you are doing?? I am sure many people are praying for you.
